John 19:30 "When Jesus therefore had received
the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and
he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."
The
last statement of Jesus Christ just before He
died on the cross was, "It is finished."
What did Jesus Christ mean?
He meant that God's plan of salvation was
completed when He died. His death secured
salvation for those who accept Him. Many
religions and people will not tell you that
Jesus Christ and His death on the cross is the
only way to Heaven.
Today, these religions and people will tell you
that you must earn heaven by following a creed,
keeping sacraments, moral living, or doing good
things. Because of this, many people live with a
false hope in what they have done.
The
thought of this religious philosophy is explained in this
statement, "If the good that I have done out-weighs the bad that I've done, surely God will
allow me to go to Heaven." However, this is
false.
Notice the Word of God is clear:
Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to his mercy
he saved us..."
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Religion has never and will never be the answer.
My friend, even you are not the answer.
Your good works will fall short and never get
you into Heaven. Sure
religions can do good things. Sure you can do
good things. But, that has nothing to do with
you going to Heaven when you die.
You
may ask, "Then how will I get into Heaven when I
die?"
Well, here is
good news!!! You can know for sure you are going
to Heaven.
God's simple plan
of salvation is...
Realize That God Loves You
God loves you and has a plan for your life.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.” John 3:16
The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners
Our sins have separated us from God.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God.” Romans 3:23
God made man in His own image. He gave man the
ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to
sin. Our sins keep us from God.
God’s Word Also Says That Sin
Must Be Paid For
“For the wages of sin is death....”
Romans 6:23
Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is
death and hell, separation from God forever. If
we continue in our sin, we shall die without
Christ and be without God forever.
The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our
Sins
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the
cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord
Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose
from the dead. He is alive forevermore.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us.” Romans 5:8
We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By
Faith
The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I
died today, I would not go to heaven. Forgive my
sin, come into my life and be my Savior.
Help me live for you from this day forward.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
The
Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans
10:13
New Life
Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ
as our Savior.
